The third annual Market OTB is a particularly fun place to shop this weekend. First, in order to honor the mission of Expo2020, the entire market will be housed in eco-friendly — and highly Instagrammable — shipping containers in Burj Park in Downtown Dubai. Second, you’ll have the opportunity to shop the region’s best retail stores, cafés, and lifestyle brands in one place. Market OTB will be over-spilling with a selection of vendors, with over 60 currently confirmed, including Dubai-based interior store The Urban Yogi, regional fashion boutique West LA, as well as the ever-tempting pancake haven Clinton Street Bakery. Meanwhile, cult favorite salon, The Nail Pavilion, will be offering glitter braids, express manicures, and foot massages.
“At the heart of Market OTB is the desire to foster stronger community ties and promote healthy living, encourage a continued dialogue about sustainable practices, all while nurturing the creative output of small- to medium-sized enterprises and arts and culture within Dubai and the region,” organizers tell Savoir Flair.
Conceived in 2014 by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, the 10-day market, which will run until January 30th, will also feature live musical performances, industry talks, artisanal workshops, and outdoor cinema screenings by regional and international filmmakers in an effort to provide an ‘out of the box’ shopping and dining experience to Dubai residents.
Market OTB will be open from 4pm – 10pm during the weekdays and from 10am to 10pm on weekends.
