On December 11th and 12th, Dubai’s Alserkal Avenue will hold its second ‘Upcycled’ Urban Market. In case you’re not up-to-date with your eco-lingo, according to Dictionary.com, to upcycle is to “process used materials so as to produce something that is often better than the original”. In other words, upcycling allows products to be upgraded or reinvented into something of greater quality.
The upcycling phenomenon will be showcased at this weekend’s market through the opportunity to buy gifts, including upcycled vintage bikes and furniture. Shop, as well as listen to live music, enjoy food pop-ups, and browse a variety of art. For a full list of vendors and activities at the market, click here.
Tip: The Uber code ‘UrbanMarket15’ will give first-time users AED 80 off their trip to or from Urban Market.
