Tonight, between midnight and 3 a.m., don’t miss the annual Leonid meteor shower. According to this article in Science Alert, the Leonid meteor shower occurs when “Earth moves through the dust trailing behind the comet Tempel-Tuttle, and small pieces of debris – roughly around the size of a pea – burn up in our atmosphere.” Tonight, those little meteors will put on a spectacular show, complete with shooting stars. For those Dubai residents looking to learn more about the meteor shower, you can sign up for an astrophotography workshop with the Dubai Astronomy Group at 10:00 p.m. this evening, here.
