Banish Dark Circles
Dark circles are the telltale sign of a bad night’s sleep. To make them less visible, neutralize the dark, purple tones using a lighter, yellow- to orange-based concealer. Gently dot the concealer over the dark areas (sparingly), starting from the inner corner of the eye. Once covered, blend your foundation as normal. Remember: Always dab under-eye makeup, never smudge, as the skin is extremely delicate in that area.

Get Bigger, Brighter Eyes
For bright, beautiful eyes, ditch the black and apply white liner to the lower lid’s waterline – it really makes them pop. Sweep right up to the crease of your eye to maximize the size. White liner’s a great way to minimize morning redness and stay looking fresh. You can also up the drama with white, winged cat eyes.

Say bye-bye to dry, clumpy mascara by using eye drops. Unlike water, eye-drops won’t damage the mascara’s consistency and work for waterproof products too. Add in a couple of drops and stir for a quick refresh, but don’t make it a regular thing. Mascara needs replacing every two to three months to ensure your lashes stay clean and healthy.

Lift Your Eyes Instantly
Enhance the eyes with a light-pink matte pencil. By gliding the pencil under the arch of your brow, you highlight the brow bone and create definition. It’s important that you work across the entire length of the brow, not just the arch, for the eyelift to be most effective. Stay subtle and don’t let the pencil show. Blend carefully with surrounding shadow so it remains undetected.
For truly kissable lips, exfoliate! Removing dead skin cells leaves lips fresh, flake-free, and fuller-looking. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to your lips and exfoliate using a clean toothbrush. By delicately working the brush across each lip, you stimulate blood flow and enhance their natural pinkness. If you aren’t sensitive to it, finish with a peppermint oil-based gloss to plump your pout.
If you’re prone to breakouts and can’t work out why, the answer could be lying in your makeup bag. Regular use of brushes and pads can lead to a build up of oil, dirt, and harmful bacteria – which will only transfer to the skin if you don’t throw old products out and clean up. The rule of thumb is: the closer to your eyes, the shorter the shelf life. Make sure to clean your brushes regularly too.
