Georgina Chapman is as much a frequent feature on the red carpet as her beautiful gowns are. The Marchesa co-founder is a natural beauty and has often appeared on best-dressed and most-stylish lists the world over. She is the ultimate picture of elegance, gracing the red carpets of every major awards ceremony, from the Oscars to the Golden Globes, on the arm of her film-producer husband, Harvey Weinstein.
Chapman met her close friend and Marchesa co-founder Keren Craig at the Chelsea College of Art and Design during her late teens. It was then that she made her first move into world of fashion, modeling as a means of extra income. After a stint travelling in the Far East and a course in costume design, it was a fortuitous meeting with the late stylist Isabella Blow that catapulted the design duo head first into the fashion industry. A decade later, the brand has become an eveningwear staple for many of Hollywood’s brightest stars.
For this makeup look, the beautiful Chapman plays up her sapphire eyes with plenty of black eyeliner, adding depth and richness to an otherwise simple look. Click through the gallery above for all the tips, tricks, and product recommendations to recreate the look at home.
A mineral powder is one of the most effective ways to get a super-smooth complexion with the exact amount of coverage you want. Using a kabuki brush, buff a small amount of product into the skin in circular motion until the entire face is covered.
Using a larger, rounded brush to apply your blush will give a softer wash of color for a radiant and healthy glow. Dust a soft-pink powder on the apples of the cheeks then blend upwards towards the cheekbone.
Apply a sparkling gray eyeshadow onto the eyelid and along the lower lash line. Use a carbon-black pencil to line the upper and lower lashes, taking the kohl into the waterline for added definition. Finish with two coats of volumizing mascara.
Keep lips simple with a matte pink or nude lipstick. Dab the color on with your fingertips for a natural-looking finish.
