What do Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner have in common? Well, a lot, actually. They are both supermodels, trendsetters, and “nepo babies,” as Bieber recently pointed out. But that’s not all; the two of them are also the undisputed queens of the “no-makeup” makeup look. The duo is famous for flaunting enviable beauty looks IRL, thanks to their shared makeup artist Mary Phillips.

Now, beauty enthusiasts are no strangers to Phillips’ creative genius and her viral makeup hacks like the ‘Dolphin Skin’ trend. Upon investigating, beauty content creator Tara Sigari got to the bottom of the ultra-sculpted, natural look that Bieber and Jenner have come to be known for.

@tarasigari #greenscreen if you’re anything like me you love @kendalljenner and @haileybieber makeup looks! I’m such a big fan of @maryphillipsmakeup so I did some research to see how she creates these natural looking yet sculpted makeup looks on celebrities #kendalljennermakeup #haileybiebermakeup #makeup #makeuptutorial #basemakeup #skinmakeup #celebritymakeup #makeuphacks #dewyskin ##contour##foundationhack ♬ original sound – TARA SIGARI MAKEUP FASHION

The Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner makeup hack – that has since gone viral on TikTok with over five million eyeballs on Sigari’s video alone – is incredibly easy to achieve at home. You’ve been warned: Phillips’ makeup hack will require you to switch up your beauty routine. In fact, you’ll need to turn your makeup routine upside down. What do we mean by that, you ask?

Well, according to Sigari, Phillips begins the supermodels’ makeup routine by applying contour on their bare skin. Yes, Phillips contours the face before foundation, before concealer, before applying any product. After blending the dark lines of contour on the cheekbones, jawline, and forehead, Phillips then proceeds to apply concealer where required, before slathering a light layer of foundation and then blending it all. Referring to the end result as “seamless, sculpted, and glowy,” Sigari points out that Mary Phillips’ hack also eliminated the need for baking, thanks to the thin layer of product on the face.

Can’t wait to try the makeup hack? Watch Sigari’s video for an in-depth tutorial on nailing the look.
