It’s official: bangs are back. An increasing number of celebrities are sporting bangs on the red carpet, and Joan Smalls just took the hairstyle to a whole new level by adding a daring touch. Although her uneven bangs were intentional, they brought up the dreadful memory of our DIY lockdown bangs – if only we could make them look this chic. Speaking of hairstyles, Lady Gaga channeled vintage glamour on the Academy Museum opening gala red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli gown and a stunning beauty look complete with a bouffant updo.
From Smalls’ statement asymmetrical bangs to Gaga’s magnificent bouffant, we’ve got some serious #BeautyInspo for you to explore this weekend. Discover the best celebrity beauty looks from the past week below.
When it comes to beauty, Nicole Kidman loves to keep us guessing. Will she embrace her gorgeous natural red curls? Will she sport a sleek straight blonde hairstyle? Or perhaps an intricate updo? You can never guess. This week, however, Kidman gave us major 90s nostalgia at the Academy Museum’s opening night. In what we believe is easily one of the most fabulous beauty looks of the night, Kidman opted for a natural makeup look highlighted only with a rosy lip tint. While makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan Fisher perfected her radiant makeup look, her strawberry blonde curls were neatly parted at the center by hairstylist Kyle Heath.
Kaia Gerber walked the Academy Museum opening night red carpet in a shimmering gold Celine gown. Famed makeup artist Pati Dubroff was appointed to glam up the young model’s face her night out, and that she did. Gerber’s barely-there makeup look featured clustered lashes, dusty gold eyelids, highlighted cheekbones and a nude pout. Her dark brown mane was twisted in an updo, with the exception of face-framing fringes.
It seems Gigi Hadid has found her signature beauty look – a clean base, glowing cheeks, a nude lip, brushed-up brows, sharp liner strokes, and gold-dusted eyelids. While Hadid sported a similar look earlier this month, this time around, makeup artist Allan Avendaño went for a more lustrous look than the one before.
Lady Gaga made a show-stopping entrance on the Academy Museum opening gala red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli black strapless gown accentuated with a dramatic baby blue stole wrapped around her arms. Gaga’s platinum blonde hair was fastened into a retro bouffant updo by hairstylist Frederic Aspiras. Gaga’s trusted makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, worked her magic on the popstar’s dabbing her lids with a taupe smokey eye and an artistic double-winged liner. Tanno added a skinny line of eyeliner under Gaga’s lower lashes before finishing her contoured look with brushed brows and a nude lip.
For the upcoming Savage x Fenty show, Joan Smalls opted for a daring beauty look. Sharply cut bangs sat on her forehead, with one portion longer than the rest, giving the model a (very) unique look. Her radiant makeup look was accentuated with an icy blue and silver eyeshadow, long lashes, and a bright blue shimmering manicure.
