Bored of swapping between the many loungewear sets (that you’re guilty of purchasing over the last year) but reluctant to leave the comfort of your lockdown uniform behind? We get the dilemma. After a year of cozying up in luxe pajamas and comfortable loungewear, slipping into your well-tailored, “going out” clothes can seem daunting. With the outside world back in business, and both social and work commitments back on our calendars, there seems to be no way to escape snug, tailored clothing. Or is there?
Leave it to fashion’s coolest girls to find the most stylish solution to our (fashion) predicament. With the many styling tricks up their (puffed) sleeves, “It” girls have found a way to dress up for the outdoors without letting go of the comfort of loungewear. Enter: Elevated Loungewear.

What exactly is the elevated loungewear trend? In all honesty, it is simply a styling trick that “It” girls are using to blend loungewear with everything from casual wear to business attire, taking off-duty dressing to a whole new level.
We particularly love influencer Tamara Kalinic‘s elevated loungewear look where she teamed up a pair of humble joggers with a chic fitted blazer worn on top of a sports bra. Kalinic completed the look with a pair of sneakers and the trending baseball cap. Turns out, we aren’t the only ones in love with the look. According to Lyst, the global searches for biker shorts have seen a 95% uptick, those for sports bras are up by 108%, and those for blazers have spiked by 87% since the onset of spring. We also love influencer Camilla Coelho‘s take on the elevated loungewear trend where she paired a cream knit loungewear set with a contrast-colored printed shirt.
