How remarkable is it that merely a whiff of a familiar fragrance can transport you back in time to a specific day or person? There is something enchanting about fragrances – they possess the distinct power to defy time and allow you to relive the memory associated with the scent. If there is any brand that understands the power of perfumes, it is Guerlain, which is bringing some of the house’s most exquisite, limited-edition perfumes straight from Champs-Élysées to downtown Dubai.
The French maison has been formulating scents for over 190 years, and has been the alchemist behind over 800 perfumes. Guerlain’s olfactory heritage includes some rare, exquisite extracts formulated and housed in opulent limited-edition bottles to symbolize the house’s milestones. Guerlain’s unique pop-up at Bloomingdales, Dubai Mall is a celebration of these exceptional fragrances. Intended for connoisseurs of the rare and beautiful, the pop-up will allow consumers the unique opportunity to purchase some of the rarest Guerlain compositions housed in the most extraordinary bottles that were brought to life in collaboration with artists.
Available amongst these is one bottle, yes just one bottle, of Guerlain’s limited 100th-anniversary edition of the ‘Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat’ – a citrusy cologne inspired by Jacques Guerlain’s visit to the Riviera in 1920. Conceptualized and handcrafted by Anne Brun, the 100th-anniversary edition sees Guerlain’s signature bee bottle coated in palladium. Brun also designed a special posy of plants – inspired from the Riviera – gilded in palladium to sit atop the limited-edition bee bottle.
Other limited-edition Guerlain perfumes available at the pop-up include the ‘Mitsouko’ 100th anniversary edition and the ‘Muguet Millésime 2020’, among others. Fifteen bottles of ‘Bouquet de Paris’ — an exceptional fragrance usually only available in Guerlain’s Champs-Élysées store — will also be available at the pop-up.
Ready to immerse yourself in the world of Guerlain perfumes? The pop-up will run at Bloomingdales, Dubai Mall from March 1 to 20.
