Just as the lockdown restrictions eased – and makeup (finally) returned on my dresser – I stumbled across a makeup brand that had newly launched in the Middle East, Téviant. Fast forward two months and Téviant has sealed its position in my makeup routine. The brainchild of Asia’s top celebrity makeup artist, Albert Kurniawan, Téviant flaunts a long list of famous fans, including Princess Syahrini, Heart Evangelista, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and members of Asian royal families. Named after Kurniawan’s mother – Tevianty – the brand is a celebration of the woman who sparked his love for beauty. The cruelty-free makeup range offers eyebrow products, eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, cheek palettes, glitter liners, mascaras, false eyelashes, and even beauty tools.
I’ve got to admit, what initially attracted me to the brand was the covetable rose gold packaging. What earned my loyalty, however, is its sheer excellence. Anyone who knows me is well aware of my obsession with my brows and my perpetual hunt for the best brow enhancers. A single smooth application of the Téviant ‘Eyebrow Duo Powder’ and I was instantly a fan. The intensely pigmented powder not only makes my brows appear dense but also stays put until wiped off.

Another Téviant product that claimed a spot in my makeup routine is the ‘Love Spell’ lipstick. If you’re on a quest for a matte lipstick that doesn’t make your lips look dry and patchy, this is the one – trust me. The long-lasting lip tints produce an even tone in a single stroke. Formulated to hydrate, the lipsticks are enriched with Vitamin E and licorice root extract that promises to soothe the skin and boost collagen production. Win-win.
The real stars of the show, however, are the eyeliner pencils. With eyes now the focus of our makeup routines, the multi-use liner pencils – that double as an eyeshadow – are a total must-have.
Ready to upgrade your makeup routine? Téviant is now available in the Middle East exclusively on the brand’s website.
