Mercury is in retrograde. Again. So if you’re in need of a pretty pick-me-up after a weird week, Savoir Flair is here to the rescue. This week’s edit of the best celebrity beauty looks is bound to lighten your mood and bring some (much needed) distraction to your day – complete with statement lips, smoky eyes, and sublime skin galore. So move over Mercury, because we’re musing over these makeup looks to see us though the weekend instead.
Want a quick fix to transform your au naturel day makeup into an evening look? Then make like Joan Smalls and opt for a deep-purple pout. Just a slick of berry lipstick is all it took to take her look from simple to chic in seconds – perfect if time isn’t on your side. Team with brushed brows and dewy skin to be in for the win.
It was all about red carpet glam for Elle Fanning, who stole the spotlight at the 2019 ESPY Awards with her stunning custom Celine gown and romantic beauty look. Makeup artist Kate Synnott created an English rose-inspired look, complete with dewy skin, pink stained lips, beautifully blushing cheeks, and a subtle feline flick. If you needed an excuse to dig out your cheek palettes, this is it.
Only Emily Ratajkowski could look so fabulous with her hair in pins, but this was mainly thanks to makeup artist Hung Vanngo. Not only did he create a flawless, radiant base, but he also added a few faux freckles to her real ones to perfectly counterbalance her deep, dark smoky eyes. A bare lip and naturally defined brows made for the perfect finishing touches.
Speaking of smoky eyes, we’re totally into Taylor Hill’s sparkly silver stare this week. Makeup artist Kale Teter created “silver-dipped eyes” with a blend of shimmery metallics and matte grays, dreamily defined with lengthening mascara on her top and bottom lashes. This was given a summery feel thanks to a pop of peachy bronzer and creamy, muted orange lips. Love.
Everything about this look from Sabrina Carpenter is seriously extra. Glossy nude lip? Check. Flawless skin? Check. Big brows? Check. Not to mention some of the most dramatic falsies we’ve seen in a while – like we said: extra. That being said, she still managed to make it wearable by teaming the look with naturally textured tresses and a casual tank top, making this the perfect look for day, night, and everything in between.
