Just when you thought we’d seen it all from the Met Gala red carpet – where outrageous outfits and mind-blowing beauty looks reigned supreme – we took a closer look at one aspect that most seem to have missed: nails. They were dressed up with diamonds, encrusted with crystals, and painted every color and combination imaginable. So, just in case you missed them, Savor Flair has rounded up all the celebrities who, well, nailed it.
Move over charm bracelets, it’s all about charm nails now. Celebrity manicurist Mar Y Soul used Essie’s ‘Strike a Rose’ pink polish before using vintage charms to bring Elle Fanning’s Malibu Barbie-inspired look to life.
Baby-blue bling was on the cards for Candice Swanepoel as Mar Y Soul worked her mani magic again armed with Swarovski crystals.
Dua Lipa opted for nails that were bright, patterned, and embellished – perfectly complementing her flashy Versace gown.
Matching her manicure to her custom Marc Jacobs gown, Rita Ora sported 24K nails created by Naomi Yasuda, who used a mix of OPI’s ‘Comet Closer’, ‘Dreams in Silver Platter’, and ‘Gold Key to the Kingdom’ – alongside lots of glitter and stick-on gems, of course.
The man for a red carpet mani? Tom Bachik, creator of Hailee Steinfeld’s gorgeous green digits. He applied a neon-green base and topped it with a pastel-mint hue before using green cellophane for “that candy wrapper look”.
Cardi B was the ultimate Lady in Red, rocking a show-stopping Thom Browne gown in burgundy, a headpiece adorned with red crystals, and – of course – statement nails to match. The exact shade? OPI’s ‘Candied Kingdom’ gel, covered in Swarovski crystals.

Keeping things simple but striking, Alexa Chung went for a glittery half-moon mani to pick up the sparkles in a sequined dress by her own label.
Kim Truong used Red Carpet Manicure’s ‘Film Real Red’ shade and Swarovski embellishments to create Constance Wu’s elegant nail art look.
Whilst all eyes were on Lucy Boynton’s sparkly makeup look, we were obsessing over her pretty pastel nails. Celebrity go-to Elle used Essie’s ‘Press Pause’ polish before carefully applying gem stones to her nails and fingers.
It was all about bright-white nails adorned with delicate blue and silver crystals for model Sara Sampaio.
Regina King accessorized her golden Oscar De La Renta gown with nails painted in Zoya’s deep brown ‘Kateri’ polish. They were then given a golden touch with lines created using the glittery ‘Nadia’ polish.
It was all about nude and gold for Winnie Harlow as nail artist Mei Kawajiri used a fleshy-pink polish, two types of gold glitter, and a marble effect to transform the model’s talons.
Mei Kawajiri was also the lady behind the Gucci-fied nails spotted on Karlie Kloss, which saw the supermodel’s thumb and ring fingers embellished with crystals to form the GG logo.
Jelly nails aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, especially if Kendall Jenner has something to say about it. Jenner-Kardashian favorite Chaun P used clear acrylics and a touch of pearlescent dust for the ultimate cool, clear nail.
Katie Holmes made shades of purple her pick, perfectly complementing her Zac Posen gown. Her nails were painted a soft, shimmery lilac and every other finger featured an abstract pink and purple design.
Priyanka Chopra’s gloves were cut especially to show off her nails – and rightly so. Pattie Yankee used pink stick-on nails and thin silver foil to create a minimalistic design.
Everything about Lupita Nyong’o’s look was seriously extra, including her blingy pink and purple nails.
Kim Kardashian’s nails were literally dripping in diamonds thanks to Tom Bachik, who coated them in a light, creamy pink before attaching diamond drops to the tips.
