This year’s Met Gala was all about bigger, bolder, and more outrageous outfits than ever, all thanks to the theme of “Camp: Notes on Fashion”. And while we saw some seriously showstopping gowns and out-there ensembles, it was the jaw-dropping beauty looks that stole the show. We (literally) saw it all – from majorly loud lashes and glitter galore to every color of the rainbow and hair dripping in diamonds. Only at the Met Gala, of course.
As always, Savoir Flair had its finger on the pulse, so, here’s a roundup of the best beauty looks and the key showstoppers.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga sent fans, well, gaga – rocking four different outfits on the red carpet and some of the loudest lashes we have ever seen. Her cartoon-like makeup featured thick black and white liner, bright pink lips, and thick falsies accentuated with long, gold tendrils. Even her hair was a work of art, adorned with mini blonde bows to complement the huge pink one on her head.
Ciara
Speaking of hot hair, Ciara made pigtails cool again with her pom-pom inspired take on the school-girl style. César DeLeön Ramirêz created a slick center part before securing her locks into two big, bushy spheres.
Sophie Turner
Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell created a breathtaking exaggerated teal eye on actress Sophie Turner, while hairstylist Christian Wood used a sparkly, silver gel to slick back her locks.
Ashley Graham
Ashley Graham’s Gucci girl look = goals. Not only do we love the gorgeous green liner oh her eyes, but we also lost count of how many hairpins Justine Marjan used to bling up her slick ponytail. But we appreciate every, single, one.
Sara Sampaio
Sometimes a smoky eye and a little accessorizing is all you need for a show-stopping stare, as model Sara Sampaio proved perfectly. All it took was two delicate crystals placed at the inner corner of her eyes and butterfly-esque falsies applied to her outer ashes to transform her smoky look from boring to bold and beautiful.
Lucy Boynton
“Lucy in the sky with diamonds” is how makeup artist Jo Baker described the dazzling look she created for Lucy Boynton, which had us reaching for our stick-on jewels faster than you can say “bling”. We’ve also added blue hair dye to our shopping lists.

Emily Ratajkowski
Inspired by Cher, the “Queen of Camp”, Emily Ratajkowski’s winged headpiece made for the perfect frame in which to showcase her gorgeous, golden makeup and long, textured locks.
Emma Roberts
Forget the flower crown, because according to Emma Roberts, it’s all about placing individual buds and balls of pearls around the hairline to bring some blooming beauty to your look. The epitome of pretty in pink, the actress matched her makeup to her gown with a soft pink-washed eye, rosy cheeks, and pink coated lips. Love.
Candice Swanepoel
With dream team Patrick Ta on makeup and Danielle Priano on hair, it was no surprise that we scored Candice Swanepoel’s look 10 out of 10. We’re not sure what we love more – her radiant, glowing skin, her impeccably gelled baby hair, or her long, shiny pony fit for a princess. Pure perfection.
Joan Smalls
Ta also turned his talents to Joan Smalls, creating a fierce floating graphic liner complete with bleached brows and sharply contoured features. But let’s also take a moment to admire her bold braids, all thanks to hair stylist Kayla MiChele.

Lily Collins
Lily Collins gave us major 60s vibes with her big, beehive hair, dramatic doll lashes, and ultra-violet eyeshadow.
Bella Hadid
Debuting a pixie ‘do teamed with a two-toned cat-eye flick and a touch of sparkle, Bella Hadid was the belle of the ball with her chic combination.
Dua Lipa
What better way to compliment a glittery gown than with glittery makeup? Dua Lipa made purple her pick with a striking, sparkly eye framed by big, bouffant hair.
Jennifer Lopez
Who needs hair when you have a headpiece dripping in diamonds? Jennifer Lopez proved she’s still the queen of the red carpet with her frosted look, to which she gave a touch of color with a purple eye to pick up the hue of her show-stopping necklace.
Chloë Grace Moretz
Chloë Grace Moretz threw it back to the 80s with her look, pairing quiffed, wavy hair with silver eyes and a matte pink pout.
Lupita Nyong'o
Hairstylist Vernon Francis said his goal was “to continue to demonstrate the power of our hair texture, that it is the most moldable and luxurious hair texture there is”, and that he did. Lupita Nyong’o went for big hair, bright makeup, and every accessory you can think of.
Kim Kardashian
Forget everything you ever knew about ‘wet-look beauty’, because Kim Kardashian just turned the trend on its head with her glistening skin, wet-look locks, and glossy lids.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora oozed old-school glamor with her drawn-on brows, pushed-back waves, and dazzling metallic smoky eye.
Emma Stone
As makeup artist Rachel Goodwin described, Emma Stone’s look was all about “major 80s vibes, complete with blue liner, glitter detail, and wet look side-swept locks.
Gigi Hadid
One word: lashes.

Stella Maxwell
Stella Maxwell had us starry-eyed with her cosmic-inspired look, which teamed glittery eyes with a custom-made star-adorned hairpiece created by hairstylist Adir Abergel.
Kristen Stewart
Abergel was also the man behind Kristen Stewart’s multi-dimensional mane, which saw slices of red, black, and light yellow transform her tresses.
Cara Delevingne
Feeling fruity, Cara Delevingne’s stripy outfit continued to her makeup with a thick orange line across her face, while her lips were tinged with a touch of lemony yellow.
Priyanka Chopra
We were half expecting Priyanka Chopra to declare “off with her head!” as she made her way down the red carpet with her Queen of Hearts vibes and fierce look.
Josephine Skriver
Bright, bold blush, deep dark lips, and sleek, sharp locks – Josephine Skriver was a sight to behold with her flowery get-up.
Hailee Steinfeld
Her dress may have said “no photos please”, but all lenses were pointed at Hailee Steinfeld thanks to her frizz-tastic curls and doll-inspired makeup, complete with faux freckles and pastel hues.
