Last night, we looked to London for all things celebrity beauty. As the stars strutted their stuff down the red carpet at the 2019 BAFTA Awards, we couldn’t help but lust after their flawless faces, beautiful hairstyles, and mesmerizing makeup combinations. From dark lips to bright eyes and everything in between, these are the looks that stole the show.
When you have naturally gorgeous eyebrows like Lily Collins, all it takes is a little brow brushing and a slick of mascara to make your eyes pop. She also defined her cheeks with a hit of pink highlighter, and added a touch of drama with a deep, dark lip. Love.
Trust actress Lucy Boynton to bring some edge to the BAFTAs. Never one to shy away from bold makeup (did you see her abstract cat-eye at the pre-awards party?), she turned things up with a red washed eye, spider lashes, and retro-inspired ‘do.
British actress Amy Jackson also turned to red to make her peepers pop, opting for a subtle wash of rouge to enhance her gorgeous green eyes. She reserved the brighter hue for her lips, keeping things classic with a statement red shade.
Thandie Newton kept things striking yet simple with sleek, straight locks, subtly defined eyes, and a creamy nude lip. The perfect way to compliment her dramatic black and white Valentino gown.
Makeup artist Pati Dubroff made blue her hue of choice on Margot Robbie – using a metallic electric blue liner to define Robbie’s eyes and to add some cool color to her monochrome Chanel get-up.
We’re not sure what we love more – Salma Hayek’s gorgeous Gucci gown, her embellished Gucci headpiece, or her beauty look. Charlotte Tilbury used her ‘Vintage Vamp’ eye palette, her ‘Filmstar Bronze & Glow’ highlighter, and her new ‘Supermodel Lipstick’ to ensure Hayek stole the spotlight.
It was Tilbury’s niece Sofia Schwarzkopf Tilbury who made up Irina Shayk for this year’s BAFTAs, where she focused on “fresh glowing skin and softly defined eyes with a glossy lip”.
Stop the press – Cate Blanchett has gone brunette, and it looks amazing. Ensuring all eyes were on her new darker ‘do, she kept her makeup minimal with just a touch of bronze eyeshadow and a pop of creamy blush.
Looking elegant as ever in her swan-like gown and dazzling diamond earrings (which were once worn by Princess Diana), Kate Middleton teamed a classic chignon with a soft, smoky eye, and ultra-defined cheekbones.
Dressed in an eye-catching orange Louis Vuitton dress, Laura Harrier boasted waves for days and gorgeous, glossy locks courtesy of celebrity stylist Jennifer Yepez.
