The 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards may be over, but there are still some winners to announce. The champions of the evening, who descended from the worlds of film and TV, were those women who decided to take a bold beauty risk.
Stepping out onto the white carpet at the Shrine Auditorium, Lady Gaga managed to surprise us — again — with a deep merlot lip and dark brow created by makeup magician Sarah Tanno. Alison Brie’s makeup guru Quinn Murphy used KohGenDo products to pair her bowed Miu Miu gown with an equally striking smoky eye and peachy lip.
The most memorable beauty moment of the night belonged to Bohemian Rhapsody‘s breakout star, Lucy Boynton, who stood out with a graphic eyeliner created by mastermind Jo Baker. The style was just daring enough to look like it came straight off the runway.
On the other side of the spectrum, some chose to go the romantic way. For actress Gemma Chan, makeup artist Monika Blunder created a natural look with the use of soft blush tones and a simple rose lip complimented with a low bun by Clariss Anya Rubenstein. Laura Harrier wowed with her long, wavy locks and a pop of pink lipstick. A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt was also pretty in pink Dior lips, as showcased by her makeup artist Jenn Streicher, while Pati Dubroff created a radiant, golden glow to top off Margot Robbie‘s Chanel look.
For what is considered a traditional Hollywood evening, there was plenty of beauty inspiration to take away. See the best hair and makeup looks of the 2019 SAG Awards in our gallery, below.
