Supermodel Karlie Kloss is so much more than a pretty face. Just shy of turning 26, the Victoria’s Secret Angel has been modeling since the age of 13, graced the cover of virtually every fashion magazine, and walked for the world’s biggest labels (including Gucci, Elie Saab, and Valentino). Kloss is also a self-professed computer nerd with her own scholarship program, Kode with Klossy, to help young girls get into the fields of computer science and engineering. And if all that wasn’t enough, the newly-engaged model has been announced as the new brand ambassador and spokeswoman for Estée Lauder.
That’s one seriously impressive resumé.
So just how does such a multi-tasking supermodel spend her day? Speaking exclusively to cool-girl Kloss, Savoir Flair got the dish on everything from the workout that keeps her fighting fit to her go-to breakfast smoothie and trusty beauty products. Take note.
The first thing I do in the morning is drink a big glass of water with apple-cider vinegar and lemon, followed by a smoothie with vegan chocolate protein powder, Califia almond milk, and Moon Juice supplements. Skincare is also a huge part of my morning routine, so I make sure to wash my face and apply Estée Lauder’s ‘Revitalizing Supreme+’ moisturizer as soon as I wake up. Having a simple routine like this helps me get moving!
I head to the Dogpound gym in New York City for my morning workout with my trainer, Kirk Meyers. I try to arrive a few minutes before my session starts so I can spend some time on the StairMaster as a warm-up. I like to listen to music during my warm-up and have a few go-to Spotify playlists with a lot of Cardi B and Childish Gambino.
The rest of my workout is dedicated to cardio and full-body strength training, and I make sure to end by stretching with my foam roller to avoid soreness. Kirk’s workouts are always tough, but I love the challenge and always feel so accomplished and energized afterwards.
After showering, I listen to a podcast on my way to the Klossy office — either The Tim Ferriss Show or How I Built This on NPR. I make a quick stop at the La Colombe, which is next to our office building, for my usual order: an iced decaf coffee with almond milk and Stevia.
My days vary week to week, but they usually include a mix of meetings, fittings, and shoots. I try to walk or bike between appointments for some much-needed time outside – especially in the summertime – which also helps me reset and clear my head. Right now, we’re in the middle of our Kode With Klossy summer camps, so there’s a lot of planning and traveling for me and my team to keep track of.
This year, we’ve significantly expanded our program to 50 coding camps in 25 cities that will reach 1,000 girls across the US. I FaceTime with one of our Kode With Klossy camps to hear about the projects that our scholars are working on. I’ll also be traveling later in the week to visit our St. Louis and Los Angeles camps. It’s always so inspiring to watch the girls progress over the two-week camps – they not only improve their coding skills, but also gain lasting friendships and build up their confidence.
Our Kode With Klossy camps in New York City are being hosted at a WeWork workspace this year, so I head downtown to check out the space before our scholars arrive in the coming weeks. On my way, I grab a green salad with veggies or grilled salmon from Sant Ambroeus for a late lunch. It’s right outside my office!
Klossy Productions is working on a few Estée Lauder beauty videos for my YouTube channel, and we’re filming something fun for summer. Ever since I was a teenager, it has been my dream to work with such an iconic brand, and I’m so humbled that the moment has officially come. I can’t give too much away about the video yet, but you’ll have to check it out this summer!
My meetings are wrapped up for the day, so it’s time to meet some friends for dinner. My favorite go-to spots are Loring Place and Lure Bistro & Sushi Bar!
I have a FaceTime date with my mom, who lives in my hometown of St. Louis. We catch up and plan for my next visit home. As grateful as I am for all of the countries and cities I’ve been able to visit throughout my career, there’s truly no better feeling than relaxing at home with my family, friends, and my dog Joe.
I try to head to bed before midnight! I’m a huge fan of face masks, so before getting into bed, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser and apply Estée Lauder’s ‘Advanced Night Repair PowerFoil Mask’. I use it once a week to keep my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. After about ten minutes, I remove the mask and hop into bed to catch up on e-mails and texts.

– Moon Juice supplements: They’re a natural energy booster and a key ingredient in my morning smoothies.
– Stan Smith sneakers: During the day, I try to walk or bike between meetings. These are perfect for busy workdays as they’re comfy but versatile enough to wear with a dress or a pair of jeans.
– Foam roller: I always stretch with my foam roller after every workout to avoid soreness.
– The ultimate chocolate chip cookie: Levain Bakery, a local spot in Manhattan, makes the most delicious treats!
