‘Wonderlust Eau Fresh’ is the newest chapter of ‘Wonderlust’. What story does it tell?
It’s a story of adventure and fresh possibility, of that sense of excitement you feel when you set off on a new journey in your life.
What notes help this fragrance to stand apart?
The first thing you notice is a fresh, citrus note, which is pink grapefruit. There are hints of the white flowers I love, including jasmine. It finishes with pamplewood; a woody note that’s both fresh and warm. So there’s a clear, vibrant sensibility all the way through.
How should we apply this fragrance?
I think a fragrance should never be overwhelming, so a dab behind each ear is perfect.
Which note best captures the carefree and vibrant qualities of the scent?
White peony – a flower that’s at the heart of the fragrance – really embodies the spirit of the scent. It’s lush but also fresh and delicate.
Who is the ‘Wonderlust Eau Fresh’ woman?
She’s a woman open to the possibilities of life; someone who loves adventure and, even if she can’t actually hop on a plane to a faraway destination, starts each day with optimism about the unexpected pleasures it might bring.
Where is she escaping to?
Everyone has their own idea of escape. For some people, it’s a white sandy beach on a tropical island. For others, it’s the energy and exhilaration of a big, sophisticated city.
What is she doing on her escape?
Everything. Or maybe nothing at all.
What was your first travel adventure?
My first big trip was to Paris and was a gift from my mom to celebrate my 18th birthday. I fell in love with everything from the architecture to the food and most definitely the shopping and street style.
What is your ultimate escape?
I love going to Capri in the spring and fall. I visit the shops, swim, soak up the sun, and – of course – eat incredible fresh fish and pasta. I’ve also recently fallen in love with Bora Bora.
Where is your next jet-set adventure taking you?
Next on my bucket list is Ayers Rock in Australia.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are somewhere new?
I like to do it all. Sightsee, visit the museums and galleries, eat the local food, and shop.
As a well-traveled expert packer, what’s your best packing tip?
Pick a color palette and stick to it. That way everything will match and you don’t need to bring a thousand pairs of shoes!
What do you never leave home without?
My aviator sunglasses.
