Gisele Bundchen is 38! The iconic 00s supermodel, who is well known for being a Victoria’s Secret Angel, celebrated her July 20 birthday with a post on Instagram just days after revealing she is to release a book this October. Titled “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” the fashion star has certainly come a long way in her career since she first stepped onto the Alexander McQueen runway in 1997. Here’s how the mother of two, who hails from Brazil, is still looking as good as she did 20 years ago.
She eats an anti-inflammatory diet.
Gisele and American football player husband, Tom Brady, avoid foods that cause the body’s organs to inflame. Although she enjoys a donut every now and then, the family’s chef has said she prefers a diet rich in vegetables and raw food, and that even their children eat that way.
“[Tom] doesn’t eat nightshades, because they’re not anti-inflammatory,” Allen Campbell said. “So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplants. Tomatoes trickle in every now and then, but just maybe once a month. I’m very cautious about tomatoes. They cause inflammation.”
As well as enjoying boxing, Gisele makes sure she does yoga or meditation every morning before her children wake up. She finds it important for grounding herself and uses the practices as tools for finding balance.
She wears impeccable outfits.
Partly due to having designer friends in high places, Gisele knows exactly what to wear to stay looking youthful, whether it’s to the Met Gala or casually setting trends on her Instagram account.
With a cool makeup artist by her side, Gisele never goes wrong with her look, usually opting for a youthful subtle look and a smokey eye at most. It’s no wonder Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Wonder Glow’ primer is often referred to as “Gisele in a Jar.” She also keeps her hair classically dark-to-light beach wavy, which is the trend this summer, especially.
Here’s to another year of looking effortlessly gorgeous.
