Spritz your way into the summer season with Savoir Flair’s top perfume picks. From fresh florals to crisp citrus creations, our ten favorites will take you from the sand to an evening soirée with just a spray.
Maison Christian Dior 'Lucky'
If you’re in need of a good luck charm, as well as a gorgeous new perfume, then we’ve found just the ticket. Aptly named ‘Lucky’, it is one of the new fragrances in Dior’s luxe scent line, Maison Christian Dior, and it’s fast becoming a fragrance favorite. Christian Dior himself was extremely superstitious, stitching a stem of lily of the valley into the seams of all his dresses for good luck.
“I wanted to represent the perfume of this hidden lily of the valley, sewn into meters of silk, with a profusion of white flowers and freshness,” explains François Demachy, Dior’s Perfumer-Creator. “The scent of his favorite flower gradually reveals itself. ‘Lucky’ is a good luck charm and the perfume to wear whenever you want to cross your fingers.” You’ll fall lucky in love with this one.
Chanel 'Les Eaux De Chanel'
Just in time for summer, Chanel has launched three stunning new scents inspired by the cities that Gabrielle Chanel loved to visit. Full of fresh, crisp notes that draw on the exhilarating feeling you get when you open a window of a train racing along a track, they’re bright, light, and seriously addictive.
‘Paris-Deauville’ is a green, citrus scent inspired by the Normandy coast, where Gabrielle opened her first boutique in 1913. Green basil, Sicilian orange, and rose essence leave you walking through the French countryside. ‘Paris-Biarritz’ captures the vibrancy and energy of the Basque coast, with notes of grapefruit and mandarin, lily of the valley, and white musk reminiscent of the surf as it hits the sand. Then there’s ‘Paris-Venise’, a fresh oriental inspired by – you guessed it – Venice. The gateway to the east via the Orient Express, it sees dark and light notes, neroli and vanilla included, blended together to capture the essence of “East meets West”.
Roberto Cavalli 'Florence'
Another scent inspired by a city, ‘Florence’ is an homage to where Roberto Cavalli’s fashion roots lie. Famed for its fine art, sculptures, architecture, and landscape, the Italian city is also known for its floral offering – in fact, its name comes from the Latin word florentia, meaning “flowering”.
It’s therefore no surprise that this bottle is bursting with blooms. A radiant heart of orange blossom, musky hibiscus seeds, and zesty grapefruit petals is revealed after sweet, fruity top notes of blackcurrant and mandarin essence. As it settles on the skin, you’ll discover a hint of musk, amber, and patchouli.

Miu Miu 'L’Eau Rosée'
A fresh new take on Miu Miu’s first fragrances, ‘L’Eau Rosée’ is a soft, floral eau de toilette perfect to spritz on a hot summer’s day. Created by leading perfumer Daniela Andrier, it opens a new, more youthful chapter of the Miu Miu fragrance book. Delicate florals of lily of the valley and cassis buds are tightly wrapped in mysterious musk, ensuring freshness is literally encapsulated in the scent. The beautiful pale pink bottle is just the cherry on top.
Jo Malone 'Blossom Girls' Collection
If there’s one kind of girl you’ll want to be this summer, it’s a Jo Malone ‘Blossom Girl’. A collection of three limited-edition scents, they’ll bring some serious flower power to your perfume routine – as well as a bright burst of fun with their colorful, summery bottles.
‘Plum Blossom’ is packed full of juicy yellow plums and splashes of plum blossom, with a clean hint of white musk. ‘Nashi Blossom’ plays on pristine white petals, crisp apple, succulent pear and nashi fruit, and soft notes of rose and musk. ‘Sakura Cherry Blossom’ is light, airy, and delicate with subtle layers of cherry blossom, violet, rose, and sparkling bergamot. The only problem? We can’t pick just one, so it’s all three for us, please.
Sisley Paris 'Izia'
Sisley’s ‘Izia’ scent is back with a big, floral bang thanks to the launch of the 2018 limited-edition bottle. Artfully created by British artist and illustrator Quentin Jones, its modern and daring design brings together an explosion of color, art, and flowers to contrast with the delicate rosy scent hidden inside.
Combining tangy white bergamot, a touch of fiery pink peppercorn, sophisticated aldehydes, soft musk, and woody cedar, the fragrance really comes alive when its floral heart of Ornano rose, jasmine, peony, and lily of the valley bursts through.
Kenzo 'Aqua Kenzo'
You might have guessed from both the name and the bright-blue bottle that Kenzo’s new fragrance is inspired by water. Its wavy design captures the power of the great Hokusai wave, and beneath its blue exterior lies a bold, juicy formula that’s bursting with freshness.
Fruity notes of green blackcurrant and crisp raspberry leaves add an electric bite, illuminating the sensual magnolia petals that sparkle on top. This is definitely a fresh floral scent like no other – unusual and inspiring.
Inside this stunning sunset-hued bottle, you’ll find something even more mesmerizing. The fourth chapter of Amouage’s Creative Director Christopher Chong’s latest perfume narrative, ‘Imitation’ is inspired by memories of New York City – in particular, the iconic Studio 54.
Capturing the vibrancy, passion, and proactiveness of its subject, this scent takes you back to the late ‘70s with its decadent and heavy notes of licorice, blackcurrant buds, and aldehyde. These are made fabulously feminine with a floral heart of rose, ylang ylang, and jasmine. Carefully capturing New York’s diverse cultures and peoples, Chong also included incense, sandalwood, and patchouli, resulting in a truly one-off scent that perfectly represents the city that never sleeps.
Dolce & Gabbana 'Dolce Garden'
Nothing smells quite as good as a garden blooming in summer, which is why Dolce & Gabbana’s new scent is perfect for this season. Serious petal power comes courtesy of floral notes like frangipani blossom, magnolia, and neroli. What makes it different, however, is the addition of juicy mandarin, creamy coconut essence, silky almond milk, and even a touch of vanilla absolute and sandalwood that adds layers of dimension – just like a gorgeous garden waiting to be discovered.
Versace 'Dylan Blue'
When it comes to strong, powerful women, you don’t get much fiercer than Donatella Versace, so it’s hardly surprising that her new perfume is about all things girl power. “‘Dylan Blue’ is my tribute to femininity, so I created a strong and sensuous yet refined fragrance for a woman who knows her own power,” she explains.
Each ingredient selected has been inspired by the qualities of a strong woman. ‘Uniqueness’ comes from crisp apple and refreshing blackcurrant sorbet, ‘Strength’ comes from wild flowers, and ‘Sensuality’ and ‘Elegance’ come from white woods, musk, and patchouli. One spray and you’ll slay, all day.
