Stuck on where to go this summer? Savoir Flair is here to lend you a helping hand. We tapped beauty influencer and globetrotter Mona Kattan to find out her top places to visit during the summer months. And, of course, we just had to find out which perfume picks she’d pack on each of her vacations – who better to ask that the ultimate fragrance fanatic?
Los Angeles is a great destination all year round! The weather is always so beautiful, and the people are really happy and fun, but also quirkily different! I just love that anything goes in LA.
The perfume I’d pack:
For a trip to Cali, I’d pack the Gucci ‘Bloom’ fragrance, which features tuberose. The first time I went to LA, I bought a really floral perfume and sprayed it everywhere. When I smell that one specific note, I think of that first trip. Perfume really evokes memories, and that holiday was just about me and Huda exploring – it was a really special time. And I love flowers!

I love London; it’s one of my favorite cities in the world. Huda and I stopped in London on our way to LA for the first time, and it was the first time I had traveled without family, so it was really special for me. London is such a sophisticated and fun city – everyone is interesting and everyone is interested. People are knowledgeable, which is refreshing. London also has the best food in the world, and it’s a great city to just explore. There are also some great stores, especially around Camden, where I go vintage shopping.
The perfume I’d pack:
Burberry’s ‘My Burberry Black’ is so London. It’s sophisticated, it’s sexy, it’s rich. It’s the perfect perfume pick for that city.

I’ve only been to the Maldives once, but I loved it – it is just so beautiful. The nature is gorgeous, the food is so good, and the beaches are amazing. I went with my family, so it was a fun time for us to be together. The internet doesn’t work very well there, so you’re forced to disconnect for a bit, which allows you to really relax.
The perfumes I’d pack:
Gucci ‘Absolute Pour Femme’ is a little bit fruity, but not too light, which I like as I’m generally into heavier scents. It would work really well when mixed with lighter body sprays, especially for the day, and you can wear it alone at night.
Roberto Cavalli ‘Paradiso’ is such a holiday smell – especially a beach holiday! It’s light, fresh, and clean, but it’s not boring. The only time I’d go more citrusy with my perfume is on a beach vacation.
