Without a central governing body, it’s hard to say how much money the crystal/gemstone business makes per year, but some experts – like Daniel Trinchillo, crystal curator to the stars – are saying it’s now a billion-dollar industry. What was once the realm of New Age healers and their followers has now entered the mainstream, thanks in part to celebrity patronage. Adele, Bella Hadid, and Gwyneth Paltrow swear by their crystals, and Victoria Beckham even went so far as to buy them for her entire design team.

Here at Savoir Flair, we reported recently on gemstone-infused skincare, once sent an intrepid editor to test crystal healing in Dubai, and often feature jewelry designer Noor Fares, who believes strongly in the power of crystals. The crystal craze is hardly a revelation to us, but a new product called the gemstone water bottle by Vita Juwel caught our eye, and its reviews have made a strong case for the idea that this may just be the next big thing in the health and wellness industry.

The gemstone water bottle by Vita Juwel is not only eye-catching and beautiful, but it also claims to have many health benefits. With crystals embedded in a small dome inside the bottle, Vita Juwel promises that the properties of the crystals are imbued directly into your daily hydration regimen.

So if you want to improve your overall fitness, you would invest in the red jasper, magnesite, and clear quartz combination. Alternatively, you would try the red jasper, sodalite, orange calcite, agate, and aventurine quartz version for focus. Each gemstone group does something different, and the benefits are clearly delineated on the website. Gemstone pods are sold separately so that you can switch up the healing benefits of your water at your leisure. Vita Juwel has also extended its product selection to include vials, decanters, ‘GranFontana’ sets, and more.

While people have been making their own crystal water for centuries by adding crystals straight into their drink, Vita Juwel is different in that the crystals are protected by the inner dome and do not wear down or dull over time. In fact, many users report that their water texture tastes smoother and purer.

Although the health benefits of drinking water from a Vita Juwel container are anecdotal, there is something scientific to the observer effect that says the properties of an element can change with observation. This doesn’t mean that you radically alter your water by giving it a good hard stare, but rather that observing a physical system can alter its behavior at the quantum level. At any rate, gemstone-water products look gorgeous and almost guarantee to spark a craze in the health community – for good reason.
