Earlier this week, the grounds of the Musée Rodin in Paris were transformed into an enchanted wonderland for Dior’s stunning couture show. Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut couture designs were brought to life in the magical surroundings of a fantastical forest, where guests sat on moss-covered benches under leaves and crystals that hung from the ceilings, transporting them to a land far, far away.
This is a young woman with a modernised pre-Raphaelite beauty. It was essential to emphasise her soft luminosity and sensuality.
Perfectly complementing the dreamy designs was the ethereal, romantic beauty look created by Dior’s Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup Peter Philips. Sprinkling “stardust” on skin (little golden hearts and silver sequins), Philips kept the rest super natural, with rosy, glowing complexions, bare eyes, and subtly stained lips coming together to create a look fit for a fairytale. “This is a young woman with a modernised pre-Raphaelite beauty. It was essential to emphasize her soft luminosity and sensuality,” Philips explains.
