If there was ever to be a makeup match made in heaven, it would be Fouz Al Fahad and MAC. A gorgeous Kuwaiti makeup artist and blogger and one of the world’s biggest beauty brands? It’s a no brainer. Well, Savoir Flair can exclusively reveal that Fouz is creating her very own lipstick for the brand this year.
Although the shade is yet to be revealed, we are already saving room in our beauty bags for the new product, which will launch later this year. Below, Fouz talks to Savoir Flair about just how big of a deal this makeup moment is for her and for her career.
How do you feel about this project?
When I started out four years ago, it never crossed my mind that I’d be selected by a brand like MAC to create my own lipstick. Fast forward to today and it’s really happening! I’m so excited to work with a brand that I genuinely love, and it’s an honor to be the first influencer in the region to have access to this unique collaboration. Of course, I’m also so excited to be able to share this journey with all my followers.

Are you looking forward to visiting the brand’s labs?
I’ve always loved to travel, but being able to visit the MAC labs is a first for me. Like many of my followers, although I wear makeup every day, I have never been behind the scenes of a massive beauty brand where the actual products are designed and produced. I’m going to be discovering the different steps involved in making a lipstick, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance!
What is your first MAC memory?
I can easily remember the first time I walked into a MAC store. I was looking for a lipstick and for blushes. It felt like walking into a candy shop. Ever since that day I’ve been hooked!
What’s it like to collaborate with MAC?
Working with MAC is terrific; I feel like a little girl in a fairytale. Some girls dream of creating their own fashion lines. I have many dreams, of course, but the creation and launch of my own lipstick is up there on the list. It will be an achievement for my career. I think this collaboration will send a positive message to the girls from this region and to my followers, many of whom work hard in pursuing their own creative projects.
Can you give us any hints on what your lipstick will look like?
I’ll give you three words and leave it to your imagination: feminine, classy, and powerful, which in Arabic translates to “مرهف، راقي، و قوي”.
The Fouz for MAC lipstick is set to launch this spring/summer. Watch this space for more information.
