Dree Hemingway is undoubtedly in high demand. She is a budding movie star, has walked the runway for Givenchy, Calvin Klein, and Chanel, and joins the likes of Anja Rubik and Clémence Poésy as a face of Chloé. The “It” girl took time out of her busy schedule to speak exclusively with Savoir Flair about the brand’s stunning new ‘Fleur de Parfum’ scent and why she feels this fragrance evokes a new side of the Chloé woman.
We also tapped master perfumers Michel Almairac and Mylène Alran to find out more about the creative inspiration behind a scent reminiscent of flowers trapped in a bottle. Enter the sublime world of the new Chloé ‘Fleur de Parfum’ fragrance, below.
How would you define the new Chloé fragrance?
Chloé ‘Fleur de Parfum’ is like a delicate bouquet of flowers.
What does it evoke for you?
A walk through a garden full of roses – the quintessence of the flowers.
What do you like about the new fragrance?
I like the tenderness of the fragrance and its fruity tonalities. I also like the new ivory-beige dress code; it is gentle and elegant.
The ‘Fleur de Parfum’ woman represents softness and embodies femininity and freshness. She is always elegant, but natural.
How would you describe the Chloé ‘Fleur de Parfum’ woman?
The ‘Fleur de Parfum’ woman represents softness and embodies femininity and freshness. She is always elegant, but natural. I feel very close to this woman.
According to you, what is the main difference between this scent and the original Chloé ‘Eau de Parfum’?
I love the iconic rose that is common to the Chloé fragrances. I like the powdery facet in the original fragrance, and the softer and natural facets of the new perfume.
What projects are you currently working on?
I just finished a film that’s still untitled. I’m also about to venture into a movie that starts filming in June, starring James Jagger.

What were your main sources of inspiration when creating Chloé ‘Fleur de Parfum’?
Each perfume creation is a new story. At Robertet (a leading French fragrance manufacturer), we’re lucky to work with beautiful raw materials. Although we are careful to respect the brand universe, these raw materials are our main sources of inspiration. For this story, we looked to explore new olfactory territory centered on a floral bouquet – a deeper and purer vision of a desirable perfume that reflects the heart of the flowers.
Could you describe the new perfume?
‘Tender, vegetal, floral’ is a new olfactive family that appears in the Chloé story. While keeping the mythic signature of Chloé original, this fragrance focuses on a fresh heart of rose that is illuminated by a heart of verbena flower and softened by a tender and reassuring heart of cherry blossom.

With the new Chloé ‘Fleur de Parfum’, which aspect of the rose did you want to reveal?
In this new opus, we tried to reveal a new facet of the rose: its heart. Here, the rose is fresh and generous thanks to the heart of verbena flower. We also wished to unveil the sensuality and delicacy of the flower’s heart characterized by an authentic, elegant, and irresistibly attractive heart of cherry blossom. We find again, here, the amber and sensual trail characteristic of Chloé fragrances.
Do you believe there is something recognizable in the Chloé fragrances you have created, like your footprint?
For every new project, it is important to re-transcribe the modern and feminine signature around the rose – a fine elegance that is revealed delicately and reflects the unique world of the brand. There is something recognizable in the Chloé fragrances, and it is this particular approach to working with the rose.
