Bringing Beauty and the Beast to the runway, makeup maestro Tom Pecheux took the winged-liner look to a whole new level at Anthony Vaccarello, where just three of the models walking in the show were winged up with thick black liner adorned with crystals that were made from pieces of the earrings in this collection. Teamed with natural skin and hair, these wings made for a big and bold beauty statement that brought a touch of magic to the otherwise natural makeup.
The Brow Factor
Believing that every woman should have a silver lining in her life, makeup artist Val Garland brought a touch of silver sparkle to the Giambattista Valli show by adding glitter to the models’ brows with a line of silver holographic flecks under naturally groomed eyebrows. Oh so simple yet oh so striking, this is an easy way to turn your makeup look up a notch with minimal effort and maximum impact.
Shoulder pads, embellished leather jackets, and sequined cat suits paired with big bushy brows, bright red lips, slicked-back hair, and greasy smoky eyes – Saint Laurent’s show was straight out of the eighties. The grungy makeup was bright, bold, and rebellious with a femme-fatale-meets-cool-girl vibe reminiscent of the Studio 54 era but with a modern makeup spin.
Gigi went brunette, Kendall went blonde, and the world went crazy as supermodels swapped hair hues on the Balmain runway. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stepped out with dark brown locks, Alessandra Ambrosio’s hair took a golden turn, and wigs made a big, bold, beautiful comeback.
Bringing Chanel’s famous quilted texture to life with makeup, Tom Pecheux nailed it again with his patterned peepers this season. Shadow was stenciled onto the eyelids all the way up to the brow bone in beautiful dark brown and metallic gunmetal shades to create an almost three-dimensional effect and the perfect modern contrast to Lagerfeld’s classic and chic creations.
