You may notice you’re having a few more breakouts or that your skin is becoming dryer faster thanks to the wind outside and the A/C inside, so it’s time to get back your glow with this easy-to-make recipe. Using just a few simple ingredients you probably have knocking about in your kitchen cupboards or in your fridge, all you need to do is mix it up, slather it on, and leave it to work its magic whilst you spend the evening on the sofa. Bliss.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 tbsp mashed avocado
- 1 tbsp natural live yogurt
- 1 tsp honey (Manuka is best if you have it)
- 1Â squeeze of lemon juice
Avocados are rich in antioxidants to fight off free radicals, vitamin E to fight signs of aging, and fatty acids to nourish and revitalize skin. Combined with creamy, cooling yogurt, which moisturizes, reduces blemishes, soothes irritation, and gently exfoliates thanks to its lactic acid; honey, which is highly moisturizing and a natural anti-bacterial; and lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C to lighten and brighten, you’ll have a gorgeous glow in no time.
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and apply to skin in a thick layer (avoid the mouth area as you may be tempted to eat it). Leave on for 15 minutes then rinse skin clean with warm water.
