1

It’s important to choose your shampoo to match your scalp, rather than your hair. Only rub shampoo into the scalp and, as you rinse off, it will naturally run through and clean the hair shaft.

2

Always shampoo twice. The first shampoo rids your hair of the initial toxins and build-up, while the second shampoo deeply cleanses hair and gets it fully clean.

3

Never put conditioner onto your scalp, otherwise it will weigh your hair down and make it flat and lifeless. Use it on the mid-ends only.

4

When you apply a conditioner in the shower, comb through your hair with a tangle teaser to smooth the hair and make sure you have it fully covered.

5

For colored hair, choose a shampoo with no parabens or sodium chloride, which helps maintain the life of your color.

6

If you have red or copper-colored hair, shampoo it as little as possible as every time you shampoo the color is gradually rinsed out. This is more noticeable in a vibrant color.

7

After conditioning, rinse your hair with cold water to give it more shine.

8

When towel drying your hair, pat the hair instead of rubbing it.

9

Add texture and body to your hair with a dry shampoo. It’s not just for oily roots and can give loads of volume to even the flattest hair.

10

When styling your hair, it's important to first add lift to the roots (no one wants flat locks) by lifting and blow-drying the hair in the opposite direction.

11

To create headband waves, wrap/twist almost-dry hair around a headband before you go to bed. You’ll wake up to perfect curls in the morning!

12

To give your fringe more of a sweep, blow-dry the parting area first then bring it all forward and dry over your face.

13

Another quick curl tip: Divide dry hair into six sections and plait each section, then clamp your straighteners over your hair for a few seconds before leaving it to cool. When you undo the plaits you’ll have beautiful, beachy waves.

14

Tame flyaway strands by combing them down with a toothbrush sprayed with hairspray.

15

When using Velcro rollers, remember they are only effective if you put them in warm hair. Let them cool down and set before taking them out.

16

If you’ve curled or waved your hair using a wand or straighteners, let your hair cool down before brushing or pulling the waves out. This will curb frizz and ensure the waves hold.

17

If you have naturally wavy or curly hair, take one-inch-wide sections when it’s wet and apply serum or curling cream before twisting each section for perfect locks.
