One thing you can’t help but associate with fashion blogger Natalia Shustova? Red lipstick. It’s something you rarely (if at all) see her without. But that’s not the only beauty product she swears by. In fact, Shustova is quite particular about what she puts on her skin after years of experimenting with her beauty look. “I’ve been through it all, from 90s punk to blue eyeshadow and pink lips to super minimalistic and clear-faced,” she tells Savoir Flair. From her passion for Tom Ford products to her skincare saviors, we’ve uncovered how Shustova stays looking so chic whether she’s in the courtroom or at high-profile fashion events.

“It was love from the moment I first used Chanel ‘Chance’. I’m 38 and have been using it since I was 18. I never switch to anything else, and anyone who knows me well knows when I’ve arrived somewhere because they can smell me!”
“The scent is practically in my skin, because I use the ‘Chance’ shower gel and moisturizer too. I’m not just addicted to one ‘Chance’ smell; I use them all and people always ask me what I’m wearing. It’s definitely my signature scent and I’m never going to change it. I’m the easiest person to buy presents for, because I’ll always use this, and I constantly stock up so my supply will last me years!”
“Like everyone else in Dubai, I get regular manicures and pedicures in salons (I go to the De La Mer Day Spa), but in between my visits, and because I wear heels all the time, I always try to make my feet look polished and refreshed. I use heel balm and the Scholl foot buffer to remove any dry skin I may have.”
“I need to create a look that takes me to court in the morning, through the day, and then on to events in the evening, as I have no time to take my makeup off completely and start again! So everything is done in the morning. I prefer to keep products in my makeup bag that last. Whatever I choose, it’s usually something that’s been tested in strong conditions!”
“I only use Tom Ford lipstick. ‘Wild Ginger’ is my absolute number one shade; it’s a gorgeous orangey red. I always wear red lipstick. There is nothing sexier in my opinion, and it’s a level of sexiness that’s accepted without crossing any barriers. It’s my feminine statement.”
“In terms of makeup, I use a combination of Tom Ford, Chanel, and Dior products. I’m also obsessed with Make Up For Ever right now. The ‘Ultra HD Foundation’ is really, really good. It’s my favorite!”
“Don’t mix day and night makeup. There should be a very fat line in between them. Nothing is more ridiculous than seeing five layers of powder and makeup on someone’s skin when it’s 9 a.m.! It’s a big NO. The trend now is to go natural – people are much more on the go, so easy, relaxed beauty is what’s in. Sometimes, for my night look, I smoke up my eyes with brown shades and add lashes for some extra drama.”
“I’m super loyal to Tom Ford mascara for daytime. When I need some drama, it’s all about fake lashes or this mascara from Givenchy.”
“My life is very, very busy, and I usually don’t have much time for makeup, so my main priority is to keep my skin looking young, fresh, and beautiful. I feel most beautiful when I’m in Ibiza – on a beach, relaxed, makeup free, with people I love. That place has special magic. I never wear makeup on my holidays and only use skincare products.”
“Step number one in my skincare routine is cleansing with Dermalogica. I start with ‘Precleanse’ and then I cleanse, tone, and moisturize, every morning and evening. I take the products with me everywhere and I have to have the full sizes – even if they take me over my baggage limit!”
“I always change up my Caudalie face masks depending on what I’m doing and how my skin is feeling. Now that we’re going into more windy, cold weather, I’m using the ‘Instant Detox Mask’. The ‘Glycolic Peel Mask’ is great after long city walks when toxins are on my skin or if I’ve been in the sun, while the ‘Purifying Mask’ gets rid of blemishes and leaves my skin brighter and fresher.”
“This La Prairie cream is much heavier than my regular moisutizers, so I use it when it’s colder here or when I’m in colder countries. The ‘Bioeffect Serum’ is for when my skin really needs a boost, and the Futur Lab ‘Pure Hyaluronic Acid’ is like Botox in a bottle; it really works!”
“I always wear factor 50 or even 100 when it comes to sun protection on my face, neck, and hands. On my body, I never go over SPF30 because I love to be tanned! The Sephora ‘Illuminating Bronzing Oil’ is great for when your tan starts to fade; it adds some shimmer and color. It looks amazing in pictures too as it gives you a very healthy glow!”
“Nothing beats this John Frieda shampoo and conditioner if you have ombré hair. I always use an oil for protection, as I straighten my hair a lot. It’s almost always up in a bun, which has become my signature hairstyle. Everyone in the industry should have a personal style, something that people remember you by, which is what I’m trying to achieve with my sleek bun. I’ve mastered the art of doing it with no pins, and it takes me just three minutes to get ready! I recommend finding your own personal style and then sticking with it.”
