A little closer to home, Oman is rife with beautiful landscapes, wadis, and something we have been yearning for: silence. To top that off, it is the best time of year to visit our peaceful neighboring country – the wadis are full from the winter rains and springtime flowers are blooming all over the country and in the mountains. You could even skip the plane and make it a road trip so you have the chance to stay in Muscat and enjoy all of the Omani capital's beauty and culture, before making your way down to our favorite green corner of the country: Salalah.
Just outside of Salalah, sits one of our new favorite hidden gems, Alila Hinu Bay. The beautiful resort boasts every modern comfort you could possibly need, plus something that is truly hard to find: a space to unplug, relax, and recharge. Go exploring, make friends with some wild camels on the beach, or just sit and watch the sea by day and the stars by night from your private pool. It's the perfect place to escape – it doesn't take long to get there, but when you are there, it is like stepping into another world.
AlUla, Saudi Arabia
Flight Time: 2h45m
Whether you're looking to visit Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hegra, or you are hoping to catch some of the incredible art that is housed within the old city, AlUla is a coveted destination for many reasons. Enjoy walking through Old Town on the cobblestones as you look at the many local craft offerings, or visit the BASMOCA exhibit What Lies Within for some of the most provocative, beautiful, and emotional artworks by Saudi artists.
Go hiking among the red giants and taste some of the most divine food you could imagine while overlooking the entire valley from the terrace of Okto. It's a trip of a lifetime, immersing yourself in the rich history and offerings from the Kingdom's heart. If you are looking for a place to stay, we recommend Habitas AlUla as well as Banyan Tree.

It might be a small country, but Georgia should be high on your list of places to visit, especially since it only takes about three and a half hours to get to this quaint little Caucasus country that sits literally at the intersection of east and west. Everywhere you go in the small country will give you awe-inspiring beauty, not to mention it isn't every day that you get to visit the Black Sea. There are lush mountain retreats, secret caves waiting to be discovered, and green valleys ready to renew your spirit. The cities are as vibrant as the country retreats are peaceful, and lucky for us, tourists tend to overlook this little gem of Eurasia. Now is the time to go before everyone else realizes what a treasure trove Georgia is.

Lebanon is the "land of milk and honey" and the Lebanese people are renowned for their infectious joie de vivre, unbreakable spirit, and unmatched hospitality. A visit to Beirut gives an abundance of culture and nightlife in the thriving metropolis, while also providing rest and relaxation along its stunning Mediterranean beaches or a verdant mountain escape into the countryside. There is a reason that Beirut was once called "the Paris of the Middle East."
Check out the colorful souks of Tripoli for something sweet and sticky, hike up to the Arab Christian monasteries to take in the inimitable views of Qadisha Valley, or take a trip back to the 1960s at Byblos, the old fishing port. No matter what you do, a trip to Lebanon is always good for the soul.

Egypt is one of the most fascinating places you will ever visit. Ripe with ancient history that goes back farther than most civilizations alive today, Egypt will enchant and delight you. Of course, you have to visit the pyramids and the Sphinx if you never have before, and at least take one dinner cruise down the Nile, but there are so many other offerings in Egypt.
There are a plethora of temples and tombs with hieroglyphs to make your nerdy heart pitter-patter, and we keep dreaming of a day trip to roam around Alexandria. Trek through the white desert (where limestone has created the most unique and natural sculptural garden in the world), scuba dive in the Red Sea, or spend a day or two at one of the tiny beach towns like Sharm El Sheikh. It’s a never-ending well of explorations in Egypt; it's one of those places where you literally find something fun for everyone.

There is a very good reason why everyone is flying to the Maldives every chance they get. The weather is perfect year-round, the water is unbelievably gorgeous, and it’s private, secluded, and safe. With 150 resorts (and counting) spread out across the Indian Ocean, it may be difficult to choose which one is right for you. If you're traveling with kids, we recommend the JW Marriott resort because of its incredible kid's club with over 100 activities to keep your little ones entertained. If it's an adults-only trip, we love the small, private, and elegant Grand Park Khodipparu for its over-water private pool villas and relaxing spa, and of course, the uber-luxury resort Soneva is always a home run.

Another popular beach destination is Seychelles, and there are good reasons for that: crystal clear waters, natural wildlife, abundant greenery and lush landscapes, incredible hiking, delicious local cuisine, and some of the best snorkeling in the Indian Ocean. The luxury boutique hotel Mango House Seychelles is our favorite little secret sanctuary right on Mahé, and you also can't beat the hikes and beaches on Silhouette Island, where Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa is situated. We can already feel the salt air on our faces as we overlook the Indian Ocean from our private plunge pool after having been completely relaxed from an amazing full-body massage. Yep. If Turkey has been on your bucket list and you have yet to visit, consider this your sign to go. We can already imagine ourselves soaking up the sun, sand, and sea on the famous Turkish Riviera and relishing the pampering sessions at The METT Bodrum. Or perhaps you want to finally visit some of the most breathtaking architecture in the world, like the famous Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, or the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. For the history buffs, make your way to The Museum Hotel Antakya, where the luxury resort floats above a vast archaeological site, as it looks out over St. Pierre – the oldest cave church in history. Step from your room into 23 centuries of history, behold the largest Roman mosaic in existence and marvel at history and the present all convening in one beautiful place. Our bags are already packed.
