It's like hanging out with your bestie, but on your ear pods.

Rewind 10 years ago, and podcasting was little more than a hobby. Now, it’s become a full-fledged career for many, offering a creative outlet for them to explore topics that fascinate like relationships, true crime, pop culture, and more. However, with more than 850,000 popular podcasts on the market, and 30 million podcast episodes to wade through, it can be tough jumping into one without knowing if it’s truly worth your time.

Removing the guesswork from the equation, we introduce you to the podcasts unanimously endorsed by the editors at Savoir Flair. Not only are they lighthearted and hosted by women, but they will keep you chuckling the entire time.

We’ve got to hand it to Alexandra Cooper. She turned a raunchy podcast about dating, culture, and life in New York into one of the most empowering podcasts for women after going solo on Call Her Daddy. She somehow knows exactly who we’re most curious to hear from and interviews them, asking the exact questions we want to know the answers to. Think Anna DelveyJulia Fox, or Pete Davidson. But she also invites life coaches, nutritionists, and therapists to discuss the exact topics young women need guidance about like breakups, diet culture, or feeling lost in their 20s (our favorite episode). Listening to Call Her Daddy is like getting advice from your best friend’s older sister, who happens to be hilarious.

Everyone’s favorite girl, Emma Chamberlain, dishes out free therapy in her personal podcast, Anything Goes, where she talks about anything that happens to be on her mind. From random thoughts to plastic surgery and how to deal with criticism, hilarious isn’t always the word we would use, but comforting definitely is. However, we love that she keeps it real no matter what, and isn’t there something absurdly funny about reality anyway?

If pop culture is your thing, then The Morning Toast brings the tea you need in this hilarious podcast by Jackie O. and self-proclaimed Girl With No Job about the top five headlines for the day. It hits the spot first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee and a piece of buttered toast. Just saying.

Heather McMahan brings out her comedic best in this no-holds-barred podcast where anything and everything is up for discussion. And we do mean absolutely everything.  It’s a tell-all, vent-all, and call into a hotline to ask any question you want to break down all of our biggest complaints and craziest moments with complete and total hilarity.

Leave it to the brilliant Michelle Buteau, the hilarious host of Late Night Whenever that sadly wrapped in 2019, to host a gut-busting podcast with none other than Jordan Carlos, whom you may recognize from The Colbert Report. Sound advice paired with laughter, celebrities, experts, comedians, and truth to answer life’s toughest questions like “How Do I Tell My Best Friend Her Fiancé Sucks?” or “Should I Buy a Pet Turtle?” (The answer is yes.)

We raise a glass to these two college students who aren’t scared to show their authentic selves, flaws, smudges, and all, in an age where everything is photoshopped. They lay bare what it’s like living as a 20-something woman in NYC, and as they erase the lines between what should be private and public, we get a healthy dose of comedy. Because life happens and we might as well cry laugh about it.

The brainchild of Rayna Greenberg and Ashley HesseltineGirls Gotta Eat has gained tremendous traction and deservedly so. Modern dating is anything but easy, and these girls address even the weirdest of your dating woes – with a hefty dose of comedy, of course. Everyone from therapists and psychiatrists to writers and pop-culture figures make guest appearances, too.

Jo Johnson and Caroline Stelte aim to inspire women, with a side of funny, every Monday when their podcast, Middle Ground, drops. Johnson and Stelte offer their thoughts, tips, and advice on tackling the day-to-day struggles as well as those big, terrifying moments of life. Despite the differences in their age and stage of life, the two somehow always seem to find middle ground.

They say laughter is the best medicine, and whoever “they” are, they would be right. My Therapist Ghosted Me is the hilarious podcast by best friends, Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams, after McNally’s therapist literally stopped taking her calls. Their advice may not be backed by science, but it is backed by the bestie. That, plus a healthy dose of the giggles, and we can’t stop listening.

A unique and voyeuristic concept, Normal Gossip, hosted by Kelsey McKinney gathers reader-submitted anonymous gossip and shares it with the world. Born in lockdown because no one was going out, it’s juicy, it’s weird, it’s funny, and it’s utterly addictive becoming so invested in the lives of people we will never ever meet.
