Break a Sweat: The Best Workout Spots in Jeddah

No excuses, just results.

If you’re finding it hard to make time for the gym, you’re not alone. In 2015, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport conducted its first National Sports survey to see how many citizens engage in physical activity to improve health and maintain fitness. The survey shows only 13 percent of Saudi citizens over the age of 15 exercise weekly. Based on those findings, the Saudi government made it a point to include this as a mission in their Vision 2030 plan. After conducting the same survey again in the first quarter of 2018, they found an increase of 10 percent over the previous quarter, exceeding their target of 20 percent by 2020.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030’s Quality of Life objectives, the Kingdom launched several fitness-focused facilities, events, and initiatives, resulting in 48.2 percent of the population participating in physical and sports activities for at least 30 minutes a week.

The goal of improving people’s lifestyles has opened many opportunities and new workout spaces. The improvements and easy access to these facilities motivate the citizens to integrate health and fitness into their daily routines. And besides, with the all-year-long summer weather in Jeddah, it’s always a “hot girl summer”.

As we all know, the most challenging part about working out is showing up. Below, Savoir Flair has rounded up the 10 best workout places in Jeddah that will make your fitness journey easier and more enjoyable.

PS: Be sure to check back. You can bet if we find another great one, we will add it to this list.
