Located in Alwadi Doha MGallery is the charming AtTEAtude tea lounge and majlis, bringing the scents and flavors of Paris to old-school Qatar. Just follow the enticing aroma of freshly baked pastries and croissants and delight your taste buds with desserts, snacks, and light lunches that will keep you satisfied all day. Enjoy the fresh air on the outdoor terrace, take your coffee in the picturesque lounge and majlis, and above all, don’t forget to take a picture because it is that pretty.
Located in a refurbished fire station turned museum/studio and workshop space, this artsy, colorful, and delicious cafe sits in the heart of Doha, bringing sumptuous brews and authentic Italian flavors from the wood fire grill to the table faster than you can say 999. We don’t know where it went, but we know that Café #999 is back with its retro facelift and pop-art accents that make us excited to hit up one of the coolest cafes in Doha, Jim Morrison style.
Beautiful and cozy, Café 42 is everyone’s favorite neighborhood coffee spot. The baristas handling your brew are highly trained and know how to prepare that perfect cup of joe, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Pulling up a chair at one of its cute tables is like coming to your home away from home. It’s a coffee shop for coffee lovers, and it’s one of the best places to sink in and forget about everything outside. Perfect for relaxing and perfect for working, Café 42 is a win-win.
Architecturally speaking, CALM STREET is easily one of the most visually stunning cafes on this list. Industrial and chic, it’s a good day when we get to sink into one of the leather couches while taking in the ash wood interiors, metal piping mixed with raw rope, vintage light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, and accents of greenery everywhere. It feels like a cozy library with the benefit of having good coffee and great food on hand all day. Honestly, we would bring our robe and slippers and live there if they would let us.
We have it on good authority that Flat White has some of the best coffee in Doha – and possibly all of Qatar. Founded by two coffee lovers who set out to bring the best coffee around the world to the small Gulf nation, Flat White loves its coffee so much that it even offers barista courses to help train others on how to make a perfect cup. The original Flat White is in The Pearl, but because it’s so good, it has since opened up several other branches all around Doha, spreading its caffeinated (and decaffeinated) goodness everywhere it goes.
Origin Café is another relaxing and inviting place to unwind with a steamy cup of coffee. With cozy, welcoming interiors and delicious food – including several vegan and vegetarian options – take your pick between homemade nut butter and milk, smoothies, juices, snacks, and dreamy desserts like the irresistible tahini brownie. Honestly, we’d go there just to have the açaí bowl and avocado toast one more time.
