Most designers say they dreamed of designing as a child, drawing up all things fun, colorful, and quirky – but they grew up and, in no time, the pieces they wanted to create changed completely into something a little more suited to “adulting”. This is true for most designers, but here’s an exception to the case: Ming Ray.

The designer has retained her childhood spirit and love of all things cute, turning fantasy into reality as a grown-up. With an impressive background (having worked at the likes of Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo), she has an in-depth understanding of Italian luxury craftsmanship, which she combines with her playful designs for pieces that are quite unique in the market.

Her signature is adding a 3D element to her handbags – be it hearts, stars, or butterflies – that look like they belong in the closet of your favorite manga character. Each is presented in a girly, delicious hue. Rita Ora is already a fan, and we predict a few more familiar faces will soon follow. See Savoir Flair’s picks from Ming Ray in the gallery below and find out more on the brand’s website.
