Get out your protractors! Nerd chic is on the rise. Geometric printed shoes add brainy, polymath flavor to dull winter wardrobes.

This is not to say you need to be in MENSA to pull off this style, but a tongue-in-cheek attitude will do. Zig zags, color blocks, bold checkered patterns, and more variations on geometric modernist design lend a sharp edge to the ankle boots and stacked heels of runway pieces ranging from Barbara Bui to Viktor & Rolf.
