With festive fetes from Bahrain to Paris, the party scene was alive with luminaries this month. Karl Lagerfeld walked the white carpet at amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS event in France, while elsewhere in the country Gucci and Vanity Fair hosted a huge crowd of celebrities at their Cannes party. On the local scene, Boutique1 and Angela Missoni hosted a pre-fall collection preview in-store, and the much-anticipated Ya Ghali by Bil Arabi collection launched at Harvey Nichols in the Mall of the Emirates. Then, just a few hundred miles away, Lanvin threw a slick and stylish dinner in Bahrain at Mezzaluna that attracted VIPs and socialites like moths to a flame.
