Kage designers Arwa Abdelhadi and Basma Abu Ghazaleh worked two extreme lengths on the Fashion Forward catwalks last week: mini and maxi. Their adorable, youthful frocks came in both brocade tapestry prints and solid black with leather paneling at the hem, while their maxi skirts came in gold and brushed leather. In the mix were short suits in an alluring blue-and-black combination and hooded toppers that were street smart and covetable. This youthful brand is making a big splash on the scene in the Middle East, and they’ve smartly combined Eastern and Western design influences for a look that is wholly unique. Hip bandeau tops and harem pants aren’t for everyday use, but break them out at a desert party with your friends and you’ll be the talk of the event.
