Partyphiles

Hermès and Savoir Flair Beach Party

Last weekend, Hermès and Savoir Flair hosted a magnificent beach party in honor of the fashion house’s Paris Mon Ami campaign.

With a breathtaking venue on Layali Beach that had guests in awe upon arrival, Mina A’Salam’s sandy shores were decorated with enormous Hermès bangles scattered along the beachfront, which boasted a beautiful view of the iconic Burj Al Arab.

A creative wonderland of Hermès bangles and scarves, invitees (which ranged from VIP clienteles to the crème-de-la-crème of Dubai society) enjoyed sumptuous canapés and cocktails in the 8-hour event, which began at 3 p.m. with an amusement park theme and ended at 11 p.m. in the form of a glamorous cocktail party.

During the day, guests enjoyed such activities as volleyball and “toss-the-bangle”, where Hermès’ signature enamel bracelets were thrown onto traffic cones painted with the fashion house’s signature orange color. Despite windy conditions, the debut of Savoir Flair’s “Pink Pong” table also proved to be an enormous hit with the party crowd.

By nightfall, tunes by DJ Robb Hinchey provided entertainment for the fash pack, which went back and forth between Hermès’ vanity tables – scarves and bangles in hand, of course – to Fishfayce’s popular photo booth to capture their special Hermès moments.

The event also saw the debut of Savoir Flair’s fashion-forward iPad stands, envisioned and executed by the creative gurus of the city’s leading advertising and marketing agency, LatestOn.

Having long been a partner of Hermès, the event marked a string of exciting events for Savoir Flair, including a round table discussion with none other than Anna Dello Russo next week.
