In 1992, Gianni Versace decided to expand his empire. Instead of heading the Milan fashion pack, Versace wanted to create a brand that spoke – not to a single look – but to an entire lifestyle. Versace began to produce household goods so that one’s environment could also reflect the Versace aesthetic. In collaboration with Rosenthal, the design house crafted a series of plates that give new meaning to the phrase “fine dining”. Twenty years have passed since that fateful collaboration, and Rosenthal & Versace have released a 20th anniversary series of plates that pay tribute to their partnership, and to the signature designs of the Versace brand.
