Micro Trend
Frayed edges
Close observers of the spring/summer 2010 runways will notice that more than a few designers left unfinished business (purposefully, of course) in their collections in the form of frayed edges.
From Fendi to Chanel to Lanvin, many of the most coveted collections featured this micro trend on their runways. Simply take a look at Prada’s watercolor shorts and Jil Sander’s glorious knit cardigan as perfect examples! Rough around the edges, these pieces will work wonderfully layered under your new summer wardrobe: just let them peek out a bit as a subtle reminder of your fashion-forward ways.
