Best of Cruise 2011
Dior
Dior made its runway debut in Shanghai on Saturday with a cruise collection that captures the spirit of the Dior contemporary La Parisienne.
Inspired by the cult French cinema movement Nouvelle Vague, John Galliano presented a resort collection perfectly representative of the new generation: bold colors and graphic shapes intertwined for a gorgeous roundup of classic French items (the trench, the manteau, and the three-piece suit all played an essential role) and gamine-like pieces (bonjour, garcon pants and blazers!). Collectively, it was his strongest resort effort yet and proved to be highly innovative for the jet-setting season.
