How They Wear…

Neon Shoes

The words “neon shoes” might conjure images of 80s fashion gone horribly awry, but the New Neon is slick, unexpected, and scene stealing. Just look to this gallery of celebrities who have been snapping up neon shoes like they’re going out of style (and trust us, they’re not going out of style anytime soon). There are several ways to wear this trend: 1) Match your shoes to your outfit. Sure it’s a little bit of retro styling coda, but when Rosamund Pike tried it out, it looked darling. 2) Eschew matching in favor of a more interesting combination. Brooklyn Decker let a bright orange pair of peep-toe shoes act as the accent for her swirling, mint blue dress. 3) Pair neon with neutrals like Jessica Alba and Mandy Moore. 4) Let your neon pick up hints of similar colors in your outfit, as Kylie Minogue did when she chose a bright yellow pair of heels to pick up the more muted yellow of her floral print dress.
